Good Morning Omagh

Good Morning Omagh and Good Neighbour Omagh's primary aim is to support some of the most vulnerable members of the community by means of regular, friendly telephone conversations and volunteers visiting them in their homes or taking them out shopping to reduce the feeling of fear, vulnerability and isolation experienced by these individuals. The project will have two facets the Good morning call and good neighbourhood visitation scheme. A call centre will be set up and this will be managed on a day to day basis by a co-ordinator with a supporting administrator.

We are currently applying for funding to get this project up and running so watch this space. We hope to have secured funding by Jan 08 and to have the project up and running by summer 08.
